At 288 grams in English size 10, the Wing Lite 3.0 embodies the promise of Kempa Wing shoes: lightness first, for wingers, goalkeepers, and everyone who plays on quick footwork.

Wing and Wing Lite, in generations 2.0 and 3.0, are available for men, women, and in children’s versions, all featuring a sole developed with Michelin.

The speed family of Kempa

Kempa places the Wing in its speed family, alongside the versatile Kourtfly and the stability-focused Attack. It targets players who rely on their acceleration: wingers, who take off and leap into the corners, as well as goalkeepers, who perform lateral movements. A lightweight and responsive shoe reduces fatigue at the end of matches.

Wing Lite 3.0: 3D knit and Heel Lock

The Wing Lite 3.0 is the most complete version. Its 3D knit upper, called Dynamic Soft Fit 2.0, wraps around the foot like a sock, and a Heel Lock system secures the heel. The Power Core cushioning, an EVA foam partly made from recycled materials with a soft insole, absorbs landings. A shank, the Wing Lite Torsion, stabilises the rear foot, and the OrthoLite X40 insole is removable.

Wing 3.0, the classic tongue version

The Wing 3.0 keeps the Michelin sole and adopts a Power Core Lite foam, with a torsion piece at the back and midfoot. Its ultra-light mesh upper closes with a classic tongue, for those who prefer a traditional fit over a slip-on. Kempa claims that its women's version is well-suited for narrow feet.

Wing: what changes between 2.0 and 3.0

The Wing 2.0 combines Power Core cushioning in EVA, a torsion reinforcement and a textile upper with 3D prints. The Wing Lite 2.0 focuses on lightweight EVA with a soft insole, a torsion plate, and a Soft Fit slip-on. The 3.0 generation adds reaction and protection zones to the upper, and a more ergonomic shape. Both generations are available on the page, in numerous colours including the black, white, and gold Glory series.

Wingers and goalkeepers: who is the Wing aimed at

Kempa targets wingers, who take off quickly and leap into the corners, and goalkeepers, who perform lateral steps. A heavier field player will likely seek the stability of the Attack.

Wing 3.0 Kids and Wing junior

The Wing 3.0 Kids fastens with elastic laces and a Velcro strap, from sizes 28 to 35, featuring Power Core Lite cushioning and the Michelin sole. Available in blue, white, and lime green or pink and white, it resembles the senior Wing look. Older kids can then move on to adult sizes of the Wing.

Kempa, a brand named after a legend

The Kempa brand pays tribute to Bernhard Kempa, a former German international, known for the famous Kempa trick, a pass in the air caught on the fly by a teammate who shoots before landing. For the sole of most of its models, it works with Michelin.

Kourtfly, Attack, K-Float: choose another Kempa

If you're looking for more versatility, the Kourtfly balances support and mobility. For a pivot or a back who absorbs contact, the Attack offers more support. The K-Float is a casual sneaker, not a game shoe. Find the entire brand on the shoes Kempa page.

Frequently asked questions

Wing or Wing Lite: which one to choose?

The Wing Lite features a knit upper that slips on like a sock and a locked heel. The Wing has a mesh upper and a classic tongue, which may be easier to fasten for some feet. Try both if you can: the fit often makes the difference.

Is a Wing suitable for a back?

It may suit a quick back, but Kempa primarily targets wingers and goalkeepers. A back who frequently lands on one leg after their shots will find more support in the Kourtfly.

Why would a goalkeeper choose a lightweight shoe?

Because they perform lateral movements and leg extensions. A lightweight shoe is easier to forget about when making saves, as long as the sole has good grip to push off immediately in the other direction.

How to convert a Kempa shoe size to UK size?

The brand's size chart provides the correspondence between UK and European sizes, and it may vary by model. Measure your foot in centimetres and take the size that corresponds, rather than trying to convert it in your head.

How to make a Michelin sole last?

Reserve the pair for the gym: asphalt wears down the rubber and brings gravel onto the court. A wipe with a damp cloth on the sole before the match also restores its grip.
