R.3000 is designed for competitive runners with good technique who want to take advantage of the extra responsiveness provided by the ENDOPLATE carbon fiber plate. This semi-rigid material compresses the midsole foam and achieves 80% responsiveness by releasing the body weight. Thus, the real benefits of R.3000 for runners are that the energy savings help reduce fatigue, maintain a steady pace throughout the run and facilitate recovery.
The result is a 2% savings in energy expenditure with the plate model compared to the same model without a plate. This is mainly due to an increase in stride length of 0.8 cm and therefore a reduction in stride frequency in the same proportion.
It is suitable for runners with good stride technique and fast gaits, for use on asphalt and track only. The weight of the shoe is 258 grams and a drop of 8 mm.
The upper is made of a very breathable fabric and the VTS SYSTEM is applied to maximize this quality. In addition, the thin nylon offers comfort and freedom of movement to the foot thanks to the FLEXSHIELD system that ensures a light fit without resistance to the foot. For added comfort, the tongue has internal foam and a double elastic closure on the upper that ensures it stays in place at all times.
The sole has an exclusive geometry designed for the type of runner the R.3000 is aimed at. These are technically sophisticated runners who land on the forefoot, hence the rubber reinforcement in the toe box, especially in the toe and transition lines of the foot. The reduction in rubber helps to lighten the shoe while allowing the energy to be released for the responsiveness of the R.3000.
Another point important is to ensure outsole traction on asphalt at such fast paces, for which the sole pattern is special. DURABILITY rubber with reinforcement in the areas most exposed to wear increases its resistance to wear. This is an improvement made by Joma over the previous model.
